My nightmare scenereo is the new war with Iran, plus a terrorist incident involving nuclear weaponry in the US gives Bush the power to declare martial law, suspend the Constitution and declare the national eletions canceled " temporarily " .
I honestly wonder if this won't happen. My read is a 25% chance of this occuring.
After all the unconstitutional power accumulated by the Cheney / Bush administration, will they willlingly surrender it?

Mckenzie: Wrong. I NEVER had this feeling about ANY of the previous American presidents. That included Nixon. Face it, you are cheerleading and apologizing for the Bush administration. Such denial is indicative of one particular point of view, not a universal truth.
Again, no these concerns have NOT been evident in all previous presidential administrations.

Nuclear bomb going off would be too transparent and too devastating.
I was thinking of a number of scenarios, one involving an economic collapse. The worst possible thing I could imagine happening is Bush getting assassinated... Cheney would be President - God help us all.
I think the whole martial law thing has been a bit blown out of proportion... I've started thinking about it as more of a contingency plan, but you never know.
These other people calling you an idiot are completely wrong. Searching for information is a noble cause, a patriotic one. Too many people believe the media - which is basically controlled by what, 4-6 people now?
People, if you think there's something wrong with your nation, is it unpatriotic and stupid to go looking for more information? No. You come to answer questions and accuse other people of being idiots when something they say is against what you've been conditioned to believe. Open your freeking minds and eyes.

We get the same prophecy every election period.
It's worth keeping an eye on, but we still get it every election period.
We never get any apology afterward when it doesn't happen, however.
