I think "jimbo" is right, but it can also be a regular 190E with some body kit installed by the owner (and a grill with an emblem can be installed on any model, they sell them all over the place.)

You are probably buying a 10 or 12 year old car. How many miles has it done? How does the price compare with others similar to the 190Es you have seen?. In my opinion, you would be better off if you can find the same MBz body with a 220 SE 6 cylinder engine or a 280 SE engine. Maybe older, but more powerful and a bit more desireable when you go to trade again. If you want to spend a lot more, have a look at the AMG cars with the same MBz engines.

Its the Mercedes 19E LeMans Version which was made in 1988 but failed to Comply with the LeMans Regulations but then in 1990 theTried for the German DTm Racing and were Very Succesfull but they Retired in 1992 when they became to old and the Remainig were DeTuned and then Sold to the General Public for Big Money, and even Now a Days they are Equally as Expensive.
The Engine was Desigend by AMG.
Sorry I dunno the Exact Name of the Car but I am Sure its Based on a 190E.
