I forget my own birthday! My wife has to remind me each year! We used to do the quarrels over how I don't love her because I don't remember, but then it just stopped. Now two weeks before her birthday she gives me a heads up. A simple reminder! Then one week and then the day before. I always get her the best gift I can afford, sometimes ones I can't afford! That's love. I would sacrifice my leisure time to put in weeks of overtime to get her something substantial. Something that almost always brings her to tears and and then a big smile! Guys just aren't wired this way for remembering stuff like this. However, we are wired for action when it comes to sacrificing for our wives! Don't read into his forgetfulness on this matter. Do the same as my wife, remind him, and if he gets you something for $3 or just a card, "then" you have a problem. Let the killing begin!

My husband remembered my birthday and anniversary (same day) this year but didn't get me anything. My response was to sulk like a kid and use the " It doesn't matter, it's only me!" line. By 6 o'clock, I had a Disney Princess birthday cake with 38 candles ablaze and he took me to a antique jewellers next day and let me choose! So I think it's safe to say that this way works!

forgiving after being a little disapointed. Once, when I turned 22, my father had lost all track of what day it was, and actually forgot it was my birthday. He apologized and I forgave him knowing he was tangled up in something at work and lost track of the actual date.
As long as the error is corrected then forgivness is key.

That's tough one , I would be very angry and I would love to kill and then what would be the point . I guess you must forgive and let it go . But at the same time to remind that person that it was your birthday , and express your feelings to them how would they have felt if you would have forgotten their birthday .

I'd be upset and a bit annoyed. Miss their birthday when it comes up just to get revenge on them. Yeah, I'd go off in a big sulk.

Is it a regular thing or just a one time mistake? If it is a one time mistake, what is going on in their lives at the time? There may be alot going on, and we all get overloaded sometimes. If it happens regularly (every holiday every year) it is a safe bet to say that he/she is not really all that interested in you but in something you have.

For me, it has to be forgiving. When you get to my age it is just another number. It is what you feel that counts so birthday's are not really that important.

This only happened once, with a boyfriend years ago - he had no excuse and I broke up with him that evening. If you can't even remember her birthday, then you can't care very much, can you?

I eat his birthday cake and ask him, "So who bought you presents? Save back the rest of the cake, I'll want more for later."
