People DO keep monkies as pets. It is frowned apon though so it is usually kept quiet.

funny as capuchin monkeys are aften used as companion animals for disabled tehya re taught tto do many things for the disabled like open thnigs, some even help feed adn give drinks to teh disabled owners.
I know several people that also own monkeys and there is a pet shop near me that sells them.

Monkeys do become very aggressive once they hit their teenager stage they need to be around their own kind as they are wild and thats how they like it !
You only need to watch animal planet (monkey world) and see a man who owned a baby chimp and he was cute but when he grew up god he ruled the roost!!
