I think that this can only mean trouble for Obama. I think that he was counting on some big celebrity endorsements to reverse his recent decline in the polls!
Excellent Question!!

People who answer are required to cite their sources, but people who ask questions are not. I cannot answer about Rory Emerald, but the questioner here has Streisand's position on Obama completely wrong. Just 2 months ago, Streisand issued a statement via her publicist about which Democratic candidate she supported. "I'm very excited about the strength of the Democratic field for the 2008 presidential election," Streisand said. "I'm looking forward to a lively and healthy primary debate that discusses the key issues facing this country."
Streisand went on to clarify her position: "Because I want to see the front-runners have the financial backing they need to be competitive during this process, I've decided to make the maximum allowable primary donation to Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama. As the conversation continues, I may make contributions to other candidates as well."
So, Streisand has not "denounced" Obama.
Also, Streisand's is just one opinion. I find it fascinating that people spend so much time complaining about her political statements. By drawing attention to them in forums like this you really give them much more power than they have.

Few things disgust me more than hearing the pompous stuck up "over the hill" Barbra Streisand belch her political views onto the public. She's the same person that went nuts a couple of years ago when an aerial photographer, photographing the California coastline, snapped photos of her mansion.
She should stick to singing her songs, and should shut up about politics, Bush bashing, Obama bashing etc. If you listen to this woman in an interview, you will soon realize that she has "nothing upstairs". She's pathetic.
And RORY EMERALD is nothing but a simple kook (or crook) who claims to find all types of crap hoping to cash in. His remarks are just noise in the signal. Best filtered out.

Barbara has been comprehend to alter her techniques a time or 2. that's a women's prerogative. although, if Rory Emerald denounced somebody, then ears had extra effectual perk up. Tony M is actual in that Rory is only in no way incorrect.

I think Meca Streisand and Rory( who the heck is this guy) should be forced to eat there own fieces while the video is shown live for a "end child starvation" telethon. And if they raise enough money Striesand should then be sodomised by a syphilitic yak with herpies. Tell me how in any way does either of these people effect the world in any way today, positive or negative. Why should we care who they vote for. And if you political decisions are influenced by Hollywood, MTV, or by some over the hill jew hag, then god save America

I think anyone that listens to anything streisand says should have their head examined. Emerald the professional prankster shouldn't have any weight on your choice for President.
Obama is tanking his campaign just fine on his own.

it's called "eating your own"..one thing must be kept in mind...libs heads ARE turned by celebrity endorsements..george clooney, sean penn, rosie o'donnel, babs carry around the control of weak little minds who tune into "oprah" and "the view" every day. those people need to be told what to do by babs or whoever, but barack stepped in it big time, he has shown himself to be irresponsible, he is a loser, edwards is a loser, hillary is going to walk away with it and for the sake of America, if she is elected, which i hope she isn't, she will do well to keep those two tick turds as far from the vice presidency as possible...

Obama can bid his chances in this election goodbye. He's put his foot in his mouth so many times so far that it's a wonder he can still eat and talk.

It has no bearing on my decisions of who to support when a celebrity either denounces or supports a canidate. I make my own decision.

That's reason enough to vote for the guy, but I still won't.
Why would anyone give a crap what anyone else thinks, especially someone they don't know personally?
