I mean I am a bears fan, but the Colt put it to them. Will they buckle and fold or make it this year?

All these answers were the same a year ago and look what they did. Nobody gave them a chance last season and they still won. You look at the supposed elite teams in the NFC and there is no reason the Bears can't get back to the Super Bowl. Say what you want about Grossman, but keep in mind that was his 'real' rookie year, he'll only get better. And they have improved alot on offense. Benson will carry load this year. Hester is lining up on the offense. Bradley is healthy and they've signed Olsen at TE. They could be boasting the fastest core of receivers and TE in the NFL along with Berrian. They've already filled the void of Tank and are loaded on Defense.

Don't be surprised to see them back in the Super Bowl.

the bears probably have a good chance of getting there again, but that is only if rex grossman has a good season. The bears still have arguably the best defense in the game right now with big names such as brian urlacher, nathan vashar and lance briggs. i believe that tank johnson will be a missing element though. on special teams the bears are great because they have robbie gould kicking the field goals and they have desmond hester as their return man...he has a game changing prescense. on offense they are doing better then last year because now they have a new tight end, greg olsen, who one of the bears players calls one of the best tightends he has ever seen. another player said they have a shiny new weapon to use. the bears have a better back up quaterback this year, chris leak, who is most likely more sturdy then brian greise. the bears should have a tremendous season. they still have muhsin muhammed. one precense that will be missed is thomas jones. the onlyn reason that the bears did bad in the superbowl is because they had an off game and rex grossman does not have his feet set up right when throwing and that is why people believe he did so badly. from my point of view the bears will have a great year. here is an updated roster for the bears...oh yeah, if the bears get to the superbowl they may have an even harder time winning it because the AFC is jacked up with great teams because of the off-season aquisitions.

On 8-5 is pre season game number one
All teams have a chance right now.
Watch the preseason and wait till week 6 then you can determine the teams that will be advancing to the play offs and superbowl.
At this point there is no one that can answer this question.
Go to a sports book web page and check the odds right now on teams that can give you a baseline.
But no one can predict a SB when practice has not even begun.

NFC is weak across the board, so the Bears have a great chance to make it to the Super Bowl again.
With teams making the playoffs in the NFC at 8-8, anybody can pull it off.
Problem is, if they get there and Grossman spends half the game chasing the ball around on the ground because he can't handle the snaps again, they will lose again.

First they have to win the NFC again. That means beating out teams like New Orleans again, Dallas, and Phillidelphia. IF they can pull that off, they'll face either the Patriots, the Colts, or the Chargers. All of whom they don't stand a chance against. Sorry.

I think it's doubtful. Rex Grossman's production is still so unpredictable that there's almost never a guarantee that they can succeed. They also didn't make many improvements to their offense during their off season, which is their primary weakness last season.

The fact they lost Tank Johnson and a few other players on their defense during the off season also means that the monster defense that was the cause of their success last year is much weaker this year. If nothing else, I think that last season showed us that while defense will help you get to a Superbowl, a lack of offense won't help you win one.

Yes, they do. Any team that has a D as good as they do stands a chance (ask the 2001 Patriots against the Rams). It is a long shot though. I just don't see any of the NFC teams being able to compete with the Pats, Cots, or Chargers.

New England is heavily flying below the radar- all of us is forgetting that as quickly as they lost video games early this season, it became earlier Brady & his new receivers had performed any video games at the same time. Now they have performed at the same time for 15 video games, Rodney Harrison is healthful lower back, Maroney is healthful lower back- oh yeah, they would be a factor. The Chargers or Ravens will in all probability win all of it, nevertheless. relies upon on who gets domicile field benefit. McNair & that protection are in no way out of a sport. The Chargers have the terrific RB/TE combination in the league with Tomlinson and Gates, and Merriman is an unholy monster. yet they in specific situations come out flat, that could value them against an experienced playoff team. And Rivers remains youthful, he's only as in all probability to have a nasty day as a good one against the great shielding communities- plus that extra week of preparation earlier the great Bowl frequently helps defenses. The NFC? FUGITABOUTIT!!!! The Saints' O-line does not play continually properly & their protection is only elementary. they seem to be a extra balanced version of Indy- the offense isn't as sturdy, the protection isn't as undesirable, and that they place self assurance in Brees like Indy relies upon on Manning. Da Bearz...? With that offense, the D *could desire to* shrink their fighters to 13 factors or much less. score 14 and you will beat em. specific, they are going to score 30-forty vs undesirable communities, yet 0.5 of those factors are shielding TDs and punt returns. Too undesirable for Rex you are not getting green Bay and Detroit in the playoffs. Cowboys, Eagles... ugh, the place's my Pepto Bismol? Are we easily sending the Seahawks lower back lower back? Say it ain't so.... LT over Brees in the rematch of final years Charger teammates!!

Super Bowl losers do not have a strong track record to return and win the next year. In fact, its never been done.

Bears to the Super Bowl in '08 = Zero Chance.
