My fibro got very bad with the birth of my son. I just want opinion on this combo, before I make the big change, coming off my Effexor XR. I really want another child. It is 3 more months before summer. I was thinking of just taking my Effexor and painkillers(lots) and see if it gets better, otherwise I just have to go on chronic meds and have 1 child. Any other painkillers that you find effective?

have only tried elavil---no help for fibromyalgia.
Ultram is helpful for me but I take 3 at a time, not as the Dr. says. It only takes the edge off.
Bless you, I really hope you get an answer so you can have another child.

I have never done Cymbalta or Elavil for my fibromyalgia because I have other health issues that make it impossible for me to take them.

I find that taking the muscle relaxer Skelaxin can be very helpful to my fibromyalgia. One of the things that I like about it is that it doesn't make me drowsy. For non-medication alternatives I have found that massage can also be helpful if you find a massage therapist that is very experienced with it.
