and she says she is inlove with him. Her mother is also inlove with him. The mother is married to a different man.
The mother is still allowing this man to come around, supposedly only under her supervision.
I told her that if i see him around her daughter again i would call the police, she said that if she denies it and her daughter denies it then they won't do anything about it.
is that true?
I have children that have heard them talking about this guy kissing her.
will that be enough proof?
on top of that i have this which is a question from the mother herself.................
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhAmzOIwYVXfj6yUvM88RzLty6IX?qid=20070718083200AAxrIBt
would that be enough proof since she is the one that asked it?

MYTHBUSTERS: she isn't doing anything that is going to protect her daughter. He was over there last night and stayed all night long. they were all outside together (mother, daughter and him) but one of the times i went out there the 14 year old and the 28 year old was having a private conversation that the mother was allowing.
The man decided he wasn't going to be with any women sexually because he is in love with the 14 yr old. but the mother asked him if he would continue having sex with her then he could still see her daughter supervised and have phone conversations with her and text her and email her

Actually, the question seems to show that she is concerned about the relationship. If she is allowing it, try having a conversation on the phone with her about her allowing this relationship and knowingly allowing him to molest her daughter while tape recording it with your answering machine. (I think it can be admitted in court this way.) And then call family protective services and hand over the recording as proof. She is actually commiting child abuse by allowing this man to continually molest her daughter.
Or you can tell her that she can be punished for allowing this to continue before you take these steps. Maybe (hopefully) she will realize that this relatinship is wrong and it is her job to protect her daughter the best that she can from perverts like him.

Gosh. Don't know about enough proof but this is DEFINITELY an inappropriate relationship, and you are correct in taking steps to do something about it.
If the mother of the child refuses to do anything...I don't know what can be done, but you have taken the right steps so far, for sure.
And of COURSE a 28 year old man telling a 14 year old that he is in love with her is trying to manipulate her. I=
Report what you can. Don't know if you can prove that the mother is in fact the asker of the question. Call social services and see what they say.
Good luck - and keep doing the right thing.

Call the police and report this situation. This needs to be taken care of before any further harm is done. This is a crime. This person is a pediphile and needs to be watched before he ruins any young person's life and that is exactly what happens to victims of sexual abuse. Keep your children away from this household. It doesn't matter if the woman denies it or not; they can ask your children and interview the child herself. There are professionals who will know how to deal with this and how to get the facts.

Why on earth are you asking these questions on here?
You won't get answers on here, you'll just get people's opinions........and they won't necessarily be correct, legally or otherwise.
If you are genuinely concerned for the welfare of this 14 year old, then don't ponce around in an internet forum - go and see the police. They are the only ones who will tell you whether there is a legal case to be answered. You don't have to make it a formal complaint - you can go and ask their advice.

First off age is irrelevant. I am 53 and my wife is 33 and have been married 15 years this month.we are happily married and have two children ages 14 and 12. love is possible no matter what the age difference, but i would suggest that you really get to know each other before you commit to anything longterm

"heard them talking" is hearsay and not going to be enough.
If everyone who knows the facts firsthand (actually saw it or was involved) denies everything then there is no evidence to proceed with. If the child denies it - there's essentially no case.
I'm not sure a kiss is enough to warrant an arrest if they can argue it was a friendly kiss or familial and not intimate or sexual. Her posting evidence online isn't very bright though.
Why not call your local police department and ask them what they think...

Yes it would at least be enough to stir up a problem. AND, if you do that then I doubt the 28 year old will want to stick around anyways. Geez, what a ******* loser, having to date a 14 year old.

don't particularly care for the scenario, but, if curiosity is getting the best of you, check the age of consent in your area, or....call the police, and ask.....they WILL answer all of your questions. By the way, i just re-read....the mom is doing this guy, too? Call the police, definitely....that's child neglect and endangerment.

Oh boy...As a parent her job is to protect her child...Letting a grown man date her daughter...Ugh I think i would have his nads removed...At 14 that child should not be seeing a grown man...In my head i see this as sick and i would inform Child Protective Services, or whatever its called in your area...
