France is a beautiful country.
There are beautiful monuments and they have a good gastronomy.
And what I like least in France, the inhabitants of this country, they are not kind.

I used to love France and everything French, my Great Grandmother was French and I have happy memories of visiting her in Cannes. Unfortunately now, I find that the French are very rude to foreigners, especially British people who don't speak any French. My sister in law who is Greek went to Paris last year and came back so disappointed because it was so expensive and the locals were so unfriendly because she could only speak to them in English.It was her first holiday abroad and she doesn't want to go anywhere again!!! I'm not saying that ALL French people are like it but many are very anti British these days.
Just look at Hyper genial's answer on the French site - he HATES us all!!!

I'm sorry for the language. But be tolerant.
First... For "Pierrot du Canada", don't criticize a country just because you've seen things on TV (the strikes are not so... impressive... I was in Québec in May, for a month when they were fighting because of the election of Nicolas Sarkozy. It was impressive on the Television. But in France, all my friends said it was nothing, it was not visible at all.) And that's the same for many frenchs, they don't like english people because they see things on TV.
I love London, I've been there, and that was great. We're not so opposite.
Ho, by the way... We don't stink. And please, I beg you, stop thoses ridiculous "clichées".

I am French, is that so bad ?
When I go back to my country France, I noticed that most of the South of France is now populated by dark North Africans Muslims, Corsicans, Sicilians, and Iranians who bought most of the French Riviera. Foreigners coming to France think that all these people are French. Not so.
Yes they burn the cars in Paris but these are North Africans and their descendants.
Bretons from Brittany are different. Normands from Normandy are descendants of Vikings. Alsatians from Alsace near the German Border are also very different. They don't all go to Paris. I don't. I go to The Loire river, Chinon, and I look Swedish.
So: do not think that people in France are The French people that you meet in the street. We are the first country open to migrants of all the people of the world.
So be nice and polite and the French will be nice and polite.

i ve never been there
i really do not have opinion on that even if i m a french speaking
i like my dreams dreaming that the french are kind toleran nice clean people
what i dislike most is some kind of racism on arabl speaking peoples and ; also they are not helpfull peoples ... and strikes after strikes complainting all the time :(
anyway ; i m not rushing to go there at all bye

Spent a week in montpon in the south last october it was really nice, france is a lovely place i just wish thay spoke some english lol

i like the fact that its far enough away,but i hate the fact that its linked by the channel tunnel,pompous ignorant,garlic smelling,nation.always the first to surrender at time of crisis.

Paris is an absolutely lovely city, but it is spoiled by the amount of French People there.

They always complain, they're always on strike, they stink, the country is dirty, not only the pavements of Paris.
