Without knowing what country you live in, that question cannot be properly answered. In the US, it doesn't matter what you tested in. (But we have very lax standards.)

Where do you live that you can't drive a car with a manual transmission if you took your driving test in a car that has an automatic transmission? That's ridiculous. Anyhow, semi-automatic is pretty much the same thing as automatic, most of them have a "drive" setting and the option to "choose" your gears.

Yep, like previous post said, you can drive any car you want that fits your licensed type. As for the semi automatic, I'm assuming you're referring to those touch shifters that don't require a clutch. They yeah, as long as you know when you need to shift up or down you'll be fine.

That is a new one on me. I have never heard that if you pass your test in an auto then you can't drive a stick.

To my knowledge, if you pass the test and then awarded a driver's license, then you are allowed to drive any automobile that doesn't require a CDL or other special license.

good luck.

In the UK its **** end backwards, if you pass your test in an automatic, you have to pass another test to drive a manual stick car.

The driving test is based on a (gearbox) instead of safety, and the highway code. Go figure that one out?

a semi-automatic isnt really a big deal. most cars w/ that feature wont let you **** it up, so you can either do it right or the car just goes auto lol.

Oh yea, no problem at all, just pay attention to the shifter. Usually just don't move the shifter to the side, and you'll be fine.
