You need help but don't want to pay = legal aid society. Look in the phone book.

The first answer is correct, Legal Aid can sometimes help you. In addition to that, some lawyers (including some very good ones) take cases on a pro bono (free) basis.

If neither of these things work out for you, you need to ask yourself this question, which is more important to you, seeing your kids or not going into debt to be allowed to? Sometimes, we all must make economic decisions we don't like to get things we want.

Well, that depends on the custody arrangement. If you have joint custody then, no they can't keep the kids from you. Hopefully you can prove attempts to see them and her keeping them from you...just to help your case. Anyways, there are a lot of legal aid places all over that can give you help and direct you properly. You will be able to give them more info. than here. That's pretty much your only option if you cannot afford a private attorney.

You need to bring her to a custody hearing and have her held in contempt.
