Its because of the angle that the moon is with the earth and how the light filters through the atmosphere. When it is orange the moon is also sitting a lot lower in the sky. It is also caused by dust particles in the air. It can change orange because of the dust in the air caused by farmers working in the field. I don't think that a bridge collasping would have enough dust to make the moon orange but it is definately a possibillity.

Ignore that idiot ryan h. That bridge collapse could never have put enough dust into the atmosphere to make the Moon appear a particular color.
