It depends on the circles you move in. I know many chivalrous people, unfortunately I also encounter some totally self centred ones too. However I choose not to mix with them unless circumstances dictact that I must.
If you practice it yourself, giving up your seat on the bus for an elderly person or pregnant woman, or someone with little kids, opening doors for people etc..........you usually get rewarded with a smile and a thank you. Makes it worth the effort.

well personally if believe I'm still a true gentleman. opening doors for ladies, pulling out chairs at a dinner table (and hopefully remembering to push them back in as the lady sits down). buying flowers, carrying heavy shopping bags etc. but a comment made by Pimpilseasy is quite true. we do get ignored for doing the right things. shame. what do you think?

Yes, alive and kicking. If you look hard enough.
I am sure someone will say that I am talking rubbish. Each to his/her own.

It has been kicked out of every guy by some girl screwing him over. I used to be chivalrist, until some girls stomped on it until i just didnt care anymore...that is until i found the girl i am with now because she is just amazing. but yes, most guys have had it beaten out of them by girls not appreciating it.
