As much as I love Vince and think his abilities are superior to most, I think this proved that he is still young and still has some learning to do when it comes to decision making.
I think even he would agree with me. Throwing a punch with your throwing hand, at a guy in pads and a helmet? Not smart.
I like what the guy he tried to punch said. He said that Vince should jab with his non-throwing hand and wait for the calvary to arrive. EXACTLY!
But I do applaud Vince's passion and enthusiasm. Everyone calls him overrated, but I am one to disagree. I think Vince is very near the definition of a football player.
His bad decision to jump to his receivers defense, while a bad decision, still exemplifies the kind of player he is. He has never put himself above his teammates. Yes, he has stepped up and carried them, but that was done out of pure sportsmanship, not about, I can do it and you can't.
I like Vince and actually have more respect for him for protecting his guy...he just forgot that the defense guy is his guy too..and that no fight is worth breaking his throwing hand.
Go Vince, prove the naysayers wrong..
And this is coming from an OU fan who is still impressed that we were able to contain him one day...

I think there may be a hint of immaturity there, but then again, I'm a low testosterone guy who has never been in a true fight in my whole life.
I did, however, play a couple years of high school football and know for a fact that fights do happen. I walked away from a couple myself. On the outside looking in, this did what all the analysts agreed on in that he is proving himself as a leader. Think about, you're this mediocre WR who wouldn't dream of figthing a defensive mainstay because you're just trying to make the team. Then, the star, Vince Young does what he does and all of a sudden you feel like you belong.
I love what Vince Young did. Men fight. I wish we didn't but we do and Vince proved something in what he did other than just getting into a fight. Young knew what he was doing, and he did it well.

Don't turn his throwing a punch into some dramatic sign that the new age Titans are going to rule the world or something.
He got into a fight in training camp, that's all that means.
Don't you think that plenty of other players throw punches in training camp? It's not like he is the first player ever to get into an altercation in camp.
He is just a big name player and the media is hyping it up.
So, even though Young threw a punch, the Titans still suck, ok.

This is training camp & teammates do not go around clotheslining teammates in half practice gear. Someone needed to clock the mushhead on defense.
Vince Young took charge. That is what these boys need.

A little of both in a sense. It shows he is being a leader and standing up for "his" squad and team. On the other hand to punch a dude in the HELMET when you are the QB and use your THROWING HAND is really dumb/immature.

Thats a great way 2 get a hold of ur team, just punch ur teammates in the face. Hell, every team should start doing it.

I say as quickly as you evaluate that a letter grew to become into sent out sept sixth spelling out precisely what wasn't allowed and that they flagrantly omitted that letter and surely reported F U to the NFL policies, I say that Goodell dropped the ball in this one. no longer in certainty grew to become into it a slap on the wrist, regardless of the undeniable actuality that it additionally grant a message that gamers could opt to be on an honest leash and watch their backs, and that coaches can do what they choose, as long as they do no longer seem to be getting caught! I hate to declare it, and that i'm white, yet i ask your self what could of happen if Belichick grew to become into black. it sort of feels that there is a bias element happening proper right here, and that i do no longer settle for as actual with it. If Goodell thinks that the strikes of Pacman Jones and Mike Vick made the NFL regarded undesirable, he needs to prevail in that Belichick or in step with possibility his own reactions to this social gathering, is in certainty as detrimental to a ineffective ringer for the NFL!
