I am having a few troubles at work. very sad :( I was working with one girl for a year and when?

we had to split, the next girl I was with said I wasn't doing my work properly. she wasn't coping. was I a worse assistant or was she not as good a paralegal? everyone works slightly differently and there is little supervision from the team leader. I had to have a meeting and the team leader gave me list of things that a person with my duration there was supposed to do. I have taken that in my stride. Unfortuatley the girl i was working with still coudn't cope due to personal reasons as well and has left. I then moved on to another para and she said my work was fine!! she is good friends with the team leader. She then moved up and i was left with another person. just recently i got a raise. lack of staff i think. then the other day we starting having to do an extra job sending faxes. apparently i didn't send some because i couldn't see tray and i had a phone message that was given to team leader too late. i had good reason. she has now given me a verbal warning. should i worry?

Phone messages are very important and your team leader is understandably upset - it makes him/her look stupid. Don't worry too much, these things happen to all of us. They'll get over it. Just do your best, that's all anyone can ask of you..

It sounds like your concerned about how good of a job that you do. Keep in mind though that having a good excuse does not get the work done. The goal is to get the work done. Not that your going to get along with everyone, but remember to service your customer. If the paralegal in your office is your customer, Taylor your work to meet their needs. You will find that this will work in any type of situation. Define your customer and then meet their needs.
