Hi there-

My friend and I are going on a Mission Trip to S.F and would really like to go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom when we're done. The problem is, we have no car, and we're staying near Union Square. Are there any busses or shuttles? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

If you are referring to Six Flags in Vallejo just use the BART rail system from Downtown SF to the El Cerrito station (near Richmond) and from there take a Vallejo Transit bus to Six Flags. The service is frequent, runs daily and doesn't cost much.

Baylink Ferries from Fisherman's Wharf or the Ferry Building to Vallejo.

Then take the local bus #9 that meets the ferry. It terminates at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

Blue and Gold Fleet (in conjunction with the park and Baylink) offers a package deal to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. It doesn't really save you any money, but it does save time to buy everything at once.

by far the best way for you to go would be to take the ferry to Vallejo from the fishermans wharf area (red and white fleet) then a cab (or city bus) to the park which is on fairgrounds drive (I live 5 mins from it) its a good days worth of hanging out I suggest you figure how long it is you can stay based on what time the ferrys start (its about a 50 min cruise from sf to Vallejo) then the last time you can catch a ferry back to the city...that might not leave you a lot of time in between, there is a small hilton next door to the park...if you were to stay there for the evening you would be able to see the park into the evening, then take a ferry back to the city the next day...in any case there are a number of transportation resources to the park listed on its online site www.sixflags.com, then to 'parks'... if you should stay a few hours in vallejo between transit times I suggest Gracies BBQ downtown on virginia st...good eating in a comfortable old time setting, one of the best Q places in the area...travel safely to SF and back, have some fun and have a nice stay in the bay!

you should be able to take the blue and gold ferry from SF over to vallejo and then take vallejo city bus over to the park.
You should be able to pick up the 85 route from the vallejo ferry terminal ride that over to Six Flags.
