First I would like to suggest that you do put your things away right after you have used them and secondly organize your cupboards with things that you use more of and more frequently then put things that you do not use as frequently in boxes and put them in a corner out of the way
When doing dishes wash and dry them and put them away immediately so they are not in your way and you won't have to do them later and make your bed when you have time when all the other household chores have been tended to first this is what I do and I find it works out quite nicely. Good Luck !

This may seem a little simplistic but... purge! I have relatives who just buy more and more organizers and space-savers, but the things they are storing in those are actually crap (sorry!) or else things they never use. Take a deep breath and either call Goodwill to come pick up stuff, or haul it there yourself. It's like losing 50 pounds!
After that, organizing is a breeze, and those organizing bins and closet/pantry organizers etc. will be very useful. Store like things with like things (seems obvious, but my grandmother stores cough drops, tupperware lids, pantyhose, sunglasses, candles, chocolate, shampoo, etc. etc. in the same place and forgets where it all is).
My bed doesn't get made every single day, but since there's no clutter all over, who cares? It's easy to make if someone's coming over. I also bought bedcovers that are easy to make, and I skip the top sheet. And no millions of pillows for me! As for dishes, I used to get behind before I got a dishwasher. Now... in they go, right away!

Make a schedule. Write to do lists. I will let my bed go before I would my dishes. Organize your cupboard and keep it tidy.

Doing dishes is so easy. If you are living alone you can do it once a day ie at the end of the day. Make your bed once you get up or after your morning shower. Organize your cupboards once a month.

if you have your own house you can be thankful i live with my aunt and uncle and have to keep my clothes outside, my dishes in a plastic tub, my food on a single bed in their son's room as he lives in a group home and sleep in the living room on an air mattress and keep my dirty laundry wherever i can find to tuck it around , and other little belongings on the surfaces of things and the floor like books and bags of stuff. Just take vitamins.I'm 50 and shouldn't have to live like this but I'm too dam poor
