because powder dish detergient cleans better & liquid does a half job at cleaning..

Well, what I can say is that powdered dishwashing detergent works better than liquid as it is stronger than liquid because the liquid has been watered down and made less effective the longer the detergent is in water the less effective it is because the chemicals have started to break down whereas the powdered brand is still strong and effective. I just have to say, I am shocked! I actually changed from powder to liquid last week because I thought that the liquid would be better for it! I get hard clumps built up, and figured it was from the powder.Thanks for asking this question! :) Guess I had better change back.

We recently bought a new dishwasher. My husband asked if the powder was "old school" :)
According to this dude, the newer liquids and tablets are not good for diswashers.
