First off you maybe good enough and scouts wont notice you. Just depends on where you live and how big your school program is or how they do that year. Also its not hard to walk on to a D1 program you just have to find the right team to walk on to. Now will that program be a Michigan, USC, Texas......Probably not but never the less its still a D1 program. You could always try U of U or Utah state or Central Michigan any small time team like that.

Some colleges allow walk ons, others do not. Your chances of making a D1 college as a walk on are about slim to none though.

When you are in college you can become a walk on.
A walk on is a player that is not on scholarship.Of course you will
have to make the team first. Then you could even earn a scholarship after a year or two also.It is not uncommon for walk on players to play college football.

no, scouts would notice you if you were good enough to play on D1 level. You can always play at a D3 level. What position do you play?

You don't sign up, you try out. I think all schools allow walk ons.

Have your coach send video out to some schools and see if it peaks their interest. You never know.

You have the opportunity to "Walk On". Please note, a lot of colleges have the tendency to "Red Shirt" (keep a year of eligibility aside) for the freshmen year, and then cut in the sophomore year. But, if you are good enough, hopefully you can compete on the level for a starter position. Best wishes and good luck on your upcoming season.

No, but you can come on the team as a walk on and win a spot on the team or a scholarship!

You have to enroll at the school and then walk on (try out). Go to their camps first, make yourself known.
