USA will probably lose our superpower title to China and India so I guess it doesn't matter.

We are nowhere near the limits of our resources or bankruptcy. Where you got that mistaken idea is beyond me. In fact our national debt is likely to be wiped out by the end of the next physcal year according to the latest GAO reports, so you had better check your facts. As to your question regarding what good does it do to kill the terrorists, well you havent had one of them blow up anything in your neighbohood lately, have you? We tried non intervention before, so did england. As the result, before england and the US got involved in world war II, hitler had already annexed most of europe. We nearly lost england and most likely if they had fell, we would be dealing with a german controlled europe as we would not have had a place to launch a ground assault from in theater. We didnt start this, the terrorists and Saddam did. But we dang sure are going to finish it. If you are in a life raft surrounded by sharks, you dont throw everyone else overboard to appease the sharks. All you get doing that is eaten last. You band together and find a way to kill it or run it off. That is where we are at. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. (any guess as to who said that?) Its a shame they dont do a better job of teaching world history these days.
Ben- you can only have peace when all the parties are willing to play nice. You know what they call a pacifist when someone come along and shoots him? A VICTIM. Peace is a nice concept, but as long as there are two people on earth and one is willing to coerce the other to do what he wants there can be no peace. The only hope for peace on this planet is if man becomes extinct.

Non-intervention can and has got people killed. Suppose law enforcement had not intervened in the Jersey Six plans. I rather be broke and starting over than dead. There is no starting over from that. Don't worry. The amount of taxes we pay, the Government is not going broke. Look at the pork laden bills.

Since the premise is false, the question is moot. We are not about to use up all our resources pursuing terrorists. Is it your opinion that we should stop pursuing bank robbers because chasing them is too expensive? The problem with non-intervention is that it is a fiction; the terrorists intervened on 9/11, have done so subsequently, and plan to do so again.

I know many would disagree but I totally blame the white house. We should have gone into Afghanistan/Pakistan after the people who planned the act that killed thousands of American civilians instead of screwing around in the oil rich country of Iraq. We did not go there to fight terrorism but we are stuck there because of it. As well as the civil war we started.
There are starving and poor people in America and one man leads us into a trillion dollar war to "aid" a foreign country we have no business with. This man is leading America down the tubes. Why do you think so much coverage for the next election started nearly 2 years before hand? People want a change they want someone with America's interests in mind not personal ones.
The past few years America has made many bad choices. I choose to blame primarily the president. When he gets out of office you will see America begin to prosper again.

There is no way all those people can be killed! Why? because, every single that is killed is responsible for bringing more and more, that is how that neck of a wood works. What would you do if somebody came along and killed half your family including your small children. EYE FOR AN EYE.
Now, how we can control it if we can't uproot it. The only way is to be peaceful. Peace will solve all problems (don't tell this to army people though). If we all cherished peace there would be no reason for war hence those who want to kill no matter the reason. Mind you there is no good reason for killing another human being unless one commits a gruesome crime and I don't think bullets, bombs, and missiles can distinguish criminal form Innocent. Ponder upon this.

Even if you tried you can't kill every terrorist, this is more of modern slavery, and the victims are Muslims. This war started with Afghanistan then quickly turned to Iraq, now he wants to fight Iran and finally Syria while the Israel fights Palestine, and Lebanon.
The end result will be the total destruction and separation of the US. Then the South may get their chance to succeed from the union.
