How bout if you find money in the "self check-out" isle at the grocery store? You know, the little tray down below where you get your change? If you found money on the street or at the "self check-out" would you take it?

yes, i would take it depending on how much it is ...if its less then 20 bucks then yes, i would with a smile tto.....
if it was more i might sit around and wait to see if someone would come looking for it......i WILL NOT turn it in to an employee.....you know there just gonna say okay ill check if somone comes back and then pocket it

can we stick to what you originally asked? Now you throw all these variables into the mix (lol).
If I find money that is on the ground I consider it the "Luck of the Irish" that I have in me, and that some leprachaun felt sorry for me (the fact that I am half Irish that is).
Self check out stand is another matter - my honest answer is "no" I would not take it and would in fact go out of my way to give it to one of the check out clerks or a manager.
I was all prepared when I saw just the basic question, your variables blew my bubble with what I was "about" to respond to. Ha Ha.

There's a difference; if you find it on the ground, street, floor etc. consider it yours ("finders keepers") but if it's on something-chair, table, appliance etc. do the decent thing and try to return it to its rightful owner.

When I was little me, my mom, and my Grandmother stopped at a little restaraunt and as we walked through the parking lot there was a trail of dollar bills. I felt sooo excited. I thought it was the best day of my life.

yes i have picked up money that was on the floor. it was weird. no i do not take it from the check out thing.

it depend on where you found it, it is unethical to keep it but if i were you i would turn it into a store clerk if you found it in a parking lot and it was a considerable amount of money
