Look, what wonderful freedom they brought there:

Imagine gang raping that poor 14 years old girl, while the family was looking, and then killing her and burning the body! And killing the family as witnesses! And look how clean and well fed the freedom fighters are! I bet in a year or two they will all be out, enjoying themselves, and free to go and bring more "freedom" to other people's lifes!

murder and rape is a "couple of bad things" and we should not "focus" on it? Those who say it must be put into the same sitiation, and while being killed or raped, console themselves that it's just a couple of bad things

and I do not understand how people can be so callous. What this poor girl suffered, in what pain she met her death, and it's just some "bad thing"... Not worth mentioning... things happen...
and someone gave this rapist a GUN, to make the rape and murder easier... It would not have been as easy for them, if they were not soldiers.

and if they came to kill and rape you, would YOU console yourself that it's just something in a big picture? I doubt it very much. It's because these people are poor and foreigners no one bothers.

and if it happened in the USA and it was an American girl? What an outcry it would caused... as per now, someone was raped and killed and her family as well? Why, it was in Iraq, they are a part of some bigger picture, some grander plan, does not matter... And how we dare to mention it, giving it a shot!

Irish girl is an idiot, who are we to enforce our will on others. Saddam was Iraq's problem not Americas. It's interesting how quickly people forget, Regan and Bush Sr. gave Saddam his weapons including his Bio and Nuclear. He used the bio on Iran and sold the nuclear that is how Bush knew about the WMD he based his invasion on. Unfortunately, he had already gotten rid of them and Bush constantly lied about the war, and even downgrading it to a policing action.

I think enough has been done to the Iraqi people and my heart goes out to them for everything they had to endure, the US need to pull it's troops out of Iraq and allow them to get on with their lives, which will be civil war.

The thing that you fail to mention is that he was charged and is being tried in a military court. I don't agree with the "war" in Iraq but throwing mud at the soldiers is any better. Yes this one is a bad apple but over all I think our military is doing an excellent job in an almost impossible situation. Do you feel better now that you have taken your cheap shot? BTW Where and when did you serve?

You sound like the typical foreigner with nothing better to do than trash talk the Americans.
Yes, if given the chance, I would kill that man who raped/killed that girl with nothing but my foot against his throght.
It's sad that one persons actions results in people like you stereotyping an entire nation of people.

I can't blame you for your anger at a situation like that, but again, do not generalize all of them in that same category......it's just ignorant to do so.

you need to think in the big picture of things kid!

this is an isolated case out of 160 THOUSAND soldiers over there, putting their lives in danger to give the Iraqis a chance of getting a decent country together!

so to view this case as the way we are conducting ourselves in Iraq is just STUPID!

nothing is perfect, NOTHING! and a few "bad apples" in the context of our men and women fighting in Iraq for the better of that country is to be expected!

next time think before speaking!

also to the morons saying we armed Saddam, wrong!

The Shah of Iran was our boy, Saddam was the USSR until after the Iran revolution then he became open to us too, at wich time we help him against the luny Iranian Komeni.

Saddam main armorer was the then USSR, we gave SOME weapons but nothing compare to what the USSSR gave him, that is why most of his weapons were soviet made, ex: AK-47 rifles, soviet T54, 74 tanks, SCUD missiles, etc

so no we did NOT create saddam, he created himself, no help from us thank you very much!

get informed BEFORE you speak morons!!

And under Saddam's regime there was peace and prosperity? All you people do is focus on the bad. Just because a few soldiers act like that doesn't mean they all do. We have done way more good than harm.

It's time to realize bad things happen to innocent people everyday. Not to discredit what this family endured isn't disgusting but be realistic about it.
