When I was 8 I was horsing around on the top bunk and fell off. On the way down my head hit the windowsill. Wow, a lot of blood. I had about 12 stiches in my head. I NEVER let my daughter jump on the bed.

I once slept on the end of a friends bunk bed (like a dog) at a school camp.
There was a huge Hunstman Spider in my sleeping bag on my bunk and I wasn't game to find it and evict it!

I remember I forgot I was on the top bunk of my brothers' bed and I went to jump up and slammed my head very hard into the ceiling. Ouch.

yeah, I threw my brother off the top bunk onto the hard floor, he has a scar on his scalp.
and then my stupid aunt took the spring thing that holds the matteress onto the railing on the top bunk off, but replaced the mattress so when I went to bed that night I fell thru and split my lip
(my brother was her favorite, I still cant stand her, I was 5 when it happened)

First off OUCH!! That had to hurt. My bed was an old white iron bed and
a room to myself. I hope that you didn't have lasting effects. When I was
a kid I was into all kinds of stuff that farm kids do. Climbing trees, jumping
from the beams into the hay loft, stupid stuff and wonder how I survived.
Isn't it fun to look back on all the silly stuff we did as kids and say: I'm
still here!! : }

No bunk beds but we had trundle beds- one folds down and slides under the other. We could fold down one end so it slanted and had a great time somersaulting down it, slideing, rolling and just being silly kids- me and my little brother.
