Funny thing about the government you didn't realize is that they're a bunch of closed minded religous nuts too. Yes we did evolve and the evidence is all around us pal. Unlike beliefs/religion, science can be proven. Let's start with alittle dive into the "good" book. God created the cosmos and earth along with adam and eve. Eve being made from one of adams ribs concieved two children. These two sons later on in their adult life was said to have traveled to OTHER VILLAGES FOR WIVES! Hmmmmmmmmmmm, looks like one of the first of many contridictions the bible leaves us with.
So by christian belief we're all decended for adam and eve which more or less makes us all a bunch of jerry springer contestants? Faith is important wether it's to an egotistical god/goddess, yourself or a freaking duck in the park downtown but don't go around waving a closed minded finger at something that can be proven. Evolution exist, enjoy it.
Also there isn't a damn thing after I draw my last breath so that gives me more reason to live my life to its fullest and spend as much quality time with my friends,family and children. Take care

get a grip now. everythings ok. you were raised to believe this. it is your reality. for others it was not the case. it seems as foreign to them as mythology is to you. the problem seems that you don't respect other peoples rights to believe or not believe as they wish. i am guessing you to be christian as you sound it. that is not a compliment. if you were to get a good solid four year college education your mind would be opened up to seeing the world is a different place for different people. people should just respect each others differences. period. without that there will never be peace. unless i am mistaken, that is the goal. many believe energy(life) only takes on different forms when the body dies, that energy does not die. sounds alot like the soul thing hu? myself, i feel like i am worshiping the equivelant of the easter bunny if i go to a church. the way you feel about worshiping an easter bunny is the same way i would feel about worshiping jesus. not right. wrong. even embarrassing. that is the way i personally feel. i would never take anything positive such as hope etc... from anyone who believed differently. i do believe in other things. i hope this helps explain it. i also find it quite rude for christians to assume everyone else is awful, bad and evil if they don't agree.

I think they haven't had a heartfelt experience with God, so they can only deduct from that. Or that they don't want to have to be honest with themselves and render control of what they "think" they control- their life.
