Hey YOU'RE the one who is giving it away. Yeah he was MARRIED before his ex was smart enough to get married before she began giving it away obviously and you're jealous. Why SHOULD he marry you? There is no reason for him to do so, you're already playing house. Ever hear the saying "putting the cart before the horse"? Or how about "why buy the cow when you're getting the milk for free." Okay so it's over on the 15th...What are you going to have on the 15th? If you moved in with him he can tell you to leave with what you came with and wave good bye as you leave. All it will cost him is child support however keep in mind his FIRST child get's first cut of the support pie, and that is usually the biggest cut. YOU put yourself where you are. Don't blame him or his ex.

YEA, that's a great way to get what you want from a guy - just THREATEN them. Sorry, I did not know there was a time limit for a guy to have to get married, ESPECIALLY since you have allowed yourself to pretend to be married without actually making that commitment for FIVE years? - Oh, and I'm pretty sure you had something to do with his having a second child out of wedlock too.... are you forgetting YOUR involvement in this? Don't be too shocked when he says "Why should I buy the cow when I already get the milk for free?"

It is totally not worth it!! An ultimatum is not the answer!! He will eventually end up despising U, 4 forcing the issue. Do U want to be an EX spouse too?!

Right now....5 years is Toooooooooooooooooooooo LONG!!

Move on and find someone that will marry U, if that is what U really want!!

Good Luck!!

He should leave, then. Once a woman plays the "You either do ________ or its over!" card, the guy should kick her to the curb. If he actually does what she wants, she will feel that she has this "power" over him, and can play that card whenever she wants to get her way. A real man would NEVER give a woman that much power in a relationship, or he's going to get pushed around throughout the whole relationship...thus, he's not a real man.

And thats why I say...He should leave, then.

After 5 years, he feels he doesn't need to commit to marriage. You are right in forcing the issue but be prepared to leave if he doesn't. If he doesn't act now, he never will. Why waste your time on someone who wants the pleasures of marriage without giving you the legal rights you should have.

Why fix something that's not broken?

You've been together for five years and you have to threaten him to commit.

Why would you want to be married to someone you know only married you because you gave him an ultimatum and not because he truly loved you?

Try being more attentive to him and not be so selfish about what you want and he will actually WANT to be with you because you understand him.

Better late than never, but I guess you do believe 5 years is enough.

Good for you! 5 years is more than enough. He should have enough respect for you to provide you with the decency of a paper!
