I prefer dogs. I specifically prefer poodles or other dogs that don't shed (like a schnauzer, westie, bichon, min-pin, manchester to name a few) due to my allergies.

I have a miniature poodle in the house, but we have 2 outside dogs (a Chocolate Lab & a part-pit mutt). All 3 of these are rescues. We also have a cat who adopted us when she was a kitten & my dad fed her. She has now had kittens & the boy is happy in his new home, but the new home that we had set-up for the girls fell through at the last minute, so they still need a new home.

dogs, they tend to be more affectionate and interactive. Dont get me wrong I've been around great cats who come to ur legs to snuggle, but my cat doesnt take walks or play fetch like my Lab Retriever does. Its the level of bonding that a dog and person can gain that you dont usually see with cats. So im gonna go with a dog...

Dogs. They are not moody. They love to follow you and see what you are doing and they are really hoping it involves food for them. Dogs are patient and will wait for you and be absolutely thrilled when you get home.

Cats. Cats are moody. The don't care to follow you even if it involves food they'll get to it when they are good and ready. Cats are not patient, they jump and scurry around hoping to cut you off at the pass. When you get home they simply look up to you to say "Oh, you're home wooowie".

Oh yes, cats don't like to wear leashes and go for walks.

But cats will catch mice, so I guess they are ok.

I have nothing against cats but am allergic to them. I do have and love my dog- adopted 1 year ago from a shelter. He is a St Bernard/Newfoundland/Akita mix and has needed much patience in his forming attachements to us.

dogs yea I have a dachshund. Her name his Juliette and when she begs she stands about a foot in a half tall.Other than that she's lucky to make 6 inches.Dogs listen better than cats. The cats I have had when they get on the table you have to knock them off,but with a dog you just fuss. The puppy knows it has done wrong and gets down, normally tries to hide. But DOGS are the way to go!

dogs for sure, cause they'd be able to protect you from bad people in the world like robbers and rapists, so yer if you get a dog, get a big one, like a great dane! they rock. cats are good for cuddling up to though hehe. but i still choose dogs! ; )
