Lets be realistic I know your gonna say because of the trolls but I don't get it how does making your profile private gonna help you against trolls? They'll still be able to read your questions if they look on the main polls and surveys page. Im not complaining or anything I just think that feature really doesnt do anything to help

It kinda does, because they cant track down every single answer or question that you have. if you notice you are getting "trolled, you can lay low for a while.
But you know what, that didnt help me too much, I still got suspended for dumb reasons

You're right. That feature, along with blocking and reporting, as well as deleting accounts doesn't do a thing to stop trolls. If anything, it helps them keep doing what they do best: annoy you. Now, I'll be honest: my profile is private, and it's private because I want it that way. Will it stop people from making negative comments, violation notices, or even people stalking me? No, of course not. And just like I will keep my profile private, people will do whatever they feel will help them sleep at night.

No, I am not making my profile private. The biggest reason why not is because of certain categories I do a lot of answering in.

I don't want to but I have to. Trolls. I know there are ways they can see my profile but at least it's better than NOT setting it private.

I think if they block the trolls they are unable to answer any of their questions. I could care less who looks at or answers my questions though. It's not that serious. It's an effing questions and answers site people come on.

I am only doing it for a short time....but, this morning I received some hostile email and when I tried to difuse her BOMB she attacked back and kept it up til I decided to just SHUT IT ALL DOWN FOR A WHILE.....I need my peace and quiet and she said here are two words 'lonely b*tch! Meaning me, I guess. lol lol

They still can't see my answers. Since I don't ask many questions, that is not my main concern.

i've never gotten anymore violation notices after i set mine to private.
before that, i'd get violation notices constantly and for stupid things. my friends dont set their's private and got deleted several times.
