Every single day. But I don't mind it all that much, it helps me remember what NOT to do again.

My ex-wife's say that I have PTSD. I don't know because I refuse to go to a shrenk. I served in the Army for 22 years retiring in 1992. Four armed conflicts, the Jonestown clean-up, three bad divorces plus some other things weigh on a persons mind heavy sometimes. I keep going on. I try very hard not to dwell on things and keep my mind in the present. Dreams screw me up sometimes and I awake soaked and shaking. Sometimes I remember the dream and sometimes I don't. During the day, sounds or smells can trigger those haunting memories. A helicopter going over head, a loud bang, or the smell of a died animal on the side of the road. I put my mind into my job and into my family. It's usually down time where my mind starts wondering. I only talk about this in places that I can stay anonymous. I don't want people that know me to know this about me.

Then there are some memories of bad things that I did myself. There is one person out there in this world that I hurt very bad not meaning to when I did it. I've told this person how sorry I am but I am unsure if they forgave me or not. It's not the point if they forgave too much as it is how to forgive myself. I haven't figured that out yet. Maybe that is a question I should put on here, how to forgive one's self.

Not so much anymore. I am not the same person I was 5 years ago. I've changed a lot... and much has been for the better. I am trying to accept myself, and my past... all those mistakes. I've realized that all that plays a major role in who I am today... and while I am quite crazy, I could be worse....

Not exactly haunted, but things come back and bother me from time to time.

I'm still haunted by embarassing moments, things I should've done, and things I shouldn't have done. I think that covers my bases, but it's true.

No day is ever over if it leaves a memory. Yes I am still dramatized over it. Same thing isn't it?

Every day- although forgiveness has been sought and given I am still reminded of the pain.
