Grew up in the country, living in the city I "grew up in" and am currently building a house in the country across the road from my parents. Can't wait to move out of town, hope to move in by Christmas.

...I grew up 25 miles NW of Boston, Mass in a city...my city life became a distant memory, however, after I met and married my husband, a country bumpkin from Kansas...he taught me fishing, hunting, gardening, and a whole slew of "country" stuff over the years we were married before he passed away....he used to tease me about being a "mis-placed" country girl while growing up in the city...I took to the country life so well, I never looked back and never will

I grew up in a small town near Rochester NY, not really country but darn close to it. Small town , surrounded by farms and woods.
