...this will sound odd...but I remember the smell of my Collie Dog after we gave her a bath...and how soft her "coat" felt...

What a great question! My favorite smell would have to be the smell of my mom's chocolate chip cookies when we would walk through the gate after school. We were very fortunate that our Mom was able to stay home & we have those memories of the smells of our childhood. I much older now & my mom has since passed away. Last year our childhood home burned down & that broke my heart, but the memories of all the different smells coming from the kitchen is priceless. Even today when I bake those same cookies I think of my Mom.!

The somewhat musty smell of wood and warmth and pure joy from the drawer where grandma keeps her knick knacks, like tools she uses to cut our hair, and her packets of powdered hair dye, and mini bottles of shampoo and soap from hotels, and the big scissors for the kitchen, and her purse, and all kinds of stuff i never really looked at cuz im too busy breathing in the smell.

Now whenever i go back, i still spend a few minutes opening the drawer and taking in that lovely smell.

well my mom didn't cook, my dad did. and yea that was a great smell unless it was bratwurst....

but my fav smell is freshly mowed yard! on a nice day, swinging in the tire swing, just being a kid with no worries except what toy to get next.

The smell of freshly mowed grass and of a car that was just washed. My mom and I used to do that together. I miss that.

The smells of halloween night, the dead leaves, the pumpkins on porch steps, the cool crisp air.

Cow manureand the smell of cows, seriously. Grandfather raised cows and that was all I ever wanted to do when I was a kid. He got rid of them when his health got bad and some of my fondest memories were involving working cows growing up.

My grandmother had gardenias, I remember them at her house after church, before family dinners. My sisters and I played every Sunday afternoon in her yard 25-30 years ago-
