Do you think its true? Im not a fan of myspace at all. So i think it should be shut down with all the sexual preditors.

There are many many sites sexual predators are on. AT least my space is trying to do something about it. My space and anything else on the Internet is only as bad as a person makes it. I have a my space but I do not use it to meet new people. I have old friends, family members and current friends on my friends list. I have it set to private so only they can see what is on my page or my pictures. For me I have a large family that lives elsewhere and it is a fun way to keep in touch. My 14 year old also has a my space and I monitor it daily. I go on to see what is going on. My computer is in my living room and is unable to be used when I am not home as I have a remote that starts it and the power button is disabled. The Internet would have to be shut down completely to get rid of sexual predators that go on line after their prey. Its just a matter of being more cautious especially parents. I have some kids from my younger sons school on my friends list on my space and first off they lie about their age and I am appalled at what I see and it is clear their parents do not monitor or pay attention to what their kids are doing on line.

That's news to me. But it would be stupid to shut it down just for THAT reason... -THEN all the Sexual Predators would come over HERE & try to talk US into hanging out with them! And there are ENOUGH strange people on this site ALREADY! So here's hoping that THAT "rumor"- STAYS that way. :)

I dont think it will get shut down, there are millions of people on that website. People say that its going to get shut down at least once a week.

Yes it is shutting down. It will be gone by the end of this year.

they should shut all these predator type sites down kids are too naive to know who they are dealing with, but i doubt it will be shut down, too much $$$$$$$$$ involved.
