In some countries it is considered a right. If you did very well in your business you are allowed to tell people about it. Yes, I must say that I have intentionally bragged just to piss someone off. No one is perfect.

Sometimes, when I accomplish something and and get praised for it or I do well at it, I think of myself doing it in the future successfully, I get a little cocky. But then reality sets in, and I lose my *********.
