What sounds are beautiful depends to some extent on which sounds are NOT common in your language--the ones that will be used for villains and comedy personages. The more commonly used syllables, probably spofter consonants with major voewls will be responsible.
Popular nmes at any time in the U.S. such as Linda, Elizabeth, Joan, Laura, Melody, etc. are popular because they sound familiar.
I prefer exotic names--Jodonna, Deijaneira, Alixandra, Ruzika, Tarbeia, Tayanna, Illaloor, Lianna, Andromake and Delphine--simply because they're unusual...
Jodonna is my favorite of all time.
