yep if it's nite time because it's a distraction to the other drivers and to you because obviously your using the lite for something else

Yes because it limits your field of vision, also the most dangerous part is when you turn it off because you will experience night blindness.

Not sure about other car makes, but mine has auto shut off on the dome light.

I'm not sure that it is actually against the law, but it is a distraction to you and the glare will reduce your vision. So for safety reasons, I would leave it off while driving. If you need to turn it on, then pull over for a few minutes.

It depends on the state, but if you get a ticket for anything it would be an equipment violation or just an excuse to pull you over. Then anything from a breath-check to a simple warning.

I dont think it is. but....I got pulled over for having fog lights on in some little hick town in Oklahoma. I have a friend that got pulled over in Missouri for having those trim lights on his wheels and windshield wipers. Its crazy. You buy this stuff and add it on your car...or maybee it comes with it...and some small town cop tells you its illeagal. I honestly dont have a legal answer to your question....but I know that cops will use it as a tool to pull you over and check your business out.

at night.
its a distraction for the drivers around you.
but i doubt of all things to be ticketed for you'll
be pulled over. but keep in mind that doesnt make it right

Yes it is. It allows poor visibility, especially at night and you can have a horrible accident.

no but at night it gets hard to see out and if it cant be turned off i'd suggest geting it fixed
