One female betta will be fine in with those fish. As was stated, you are right at the limit of fish that a 10 g tank will accomodate with a good filter on it.
Only the male bettas are fighters, and only with other male bettas. The males will also kill female bettas if the female is not ready to spawn with them.
A group of female bettas with sort out a pecking order within the group, but do not fight to the death at all.
BTW, it is spelled betta and is pronounced bet-tah, not bay-tah!

Hi there!
Well, I agree with the posters who say you shouldn't try it. Female bettas are generally not so aggressive as males and CAN be kept with other fish, most of the time. But IME, they sometimes want to go after shrimp. And danios can be a bit nippy, so the betta might be at risk (even females have pretty tempting finnage, and they don't move as fast as danios). And yes, a 10 gallon tank is already pretty full with the stock you have.
Moreover, how long have you had the guppies and Platy? Long enough that you're sure you're not going to have a million or so little guppies or platies? These kinds of fish are livebearers - they have babies live instead of laying eggs, and MOST female guppies you find at pet stores will have already become pregnant.
You may find you're going to need to upsize your tank pretty soon! LOL.

Female bettas can be kept in community tanks; I have several in my platy tank. But while some of them are very peaceful, some are more aggressive than the typical male, and it's hard to know what you will get by just looking at them in the cup at the petstore.
I wouldn't take the risk in the tank you describe. 10 gallons isn't very much room so aggressions are easier to spark up, and it's already pretty full of fish. Some of your current stock are likely to get picked on by the betta (the guppies are slowish swimmers with a lot of fin) and some are likely to pick on the betta (the danios are extremely active and can be nippy; they are best kept in schools of 6 or more so they can entertain each other -- you only have 2.)

Well, I would say they you have enough little critters in that tank but other then that, yeah...I think they would be just fine...I have 2 female betta, 4 tetras, and 2 African Dwarf frogs in my 10 Gal. tank wierd mix I know but they are doing great together...I also had a Platy in that tank up until yesterday but I moved her to a diff. 10 Gal. tank because one of the tetras were bothering her and it was getting full. Female bettas are adorable, mine swim right up to your finger and rub on it..Good luck!

the only problem with this is the bio load on the tank. to small of a tank for that many fish. But the female beta should do o.k. with the others though

You have several different types of small schooling in your tank. All are minimal weight on your bio-load. A female betta should be fine.

The best answer to this question is you already have enough fish in that tank. If you add one more it will just make the tank dirtier.

That's enough already. A betta might be a little bad though.

Betas are fish that should be put in a tank by themselves. They are aggressive fish. You shouldn't put them with anything else.
Betas can survive with no filter, also, which is why when you go to the pet store you only see them in a little cup...alone.
You could try it and see how it reacts, but if it starts acting funny I'd put him back by himself.
