my 24yr. old friend died and her family of course is very distraught. i think they should have something wrote at the bottom of the stone but can't come up with anything that totally fits. someone suggested--god called nicole answered-- any suggestions?

Hi:

That is so sad, and my prayers are with you and her family and other friends. I agree on trying to find a phrase that she would have liked or fit her personality. A phrase such as 'Always in our thoughts and hearts' is nice.

You might also see if you can find a copy of the book 'Best Loved Poems of the American People'. I think this book is commonly available, and there are probably copies of it in many public libraries. There are many poems in this that might have lines that would express the feelings well for this purpose.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend.

The saying is called an epitaph. Perhaps if she liked poetry, a line from a favorite poem would be a nice tribute, or something that says something about her personallity.
