The devil comes from Satan, a fallen angel, but this is not to be confused with the literary creations of Hell and the Devil. If you believe that God allows free will then evil becomes a part of that. The only mention of Hell or firey pits deals with the end time, it says nothing about what happens to people when they die now.

All evil is create to cause fear
We all have good and bad within us all
We fight between the Soul Good and the EGO Bad
People may disagree
The Ego can be our best friend when it works with the Soul
However it can be our worst enemy
Take a while to think about it, and I am sure you will agree
The Soul will never lead you astray it works to better you for personal achievement
The Ego can make you stubborn and stand your ground on something worthless with the hint of swallowing your pride will hurt yes it hurts your EGO not your Soul :)
Fear is created from your ego to stop your personal growth : )
From Fear you will create evil like Anger, Jealousy, Hatred
What man has made on Earth is Hell with live our life in hell to make it to heaven
The devil can be any nasty person you meet think about it what do they say the Devil made me do it LOL not seeing it was them their selves.
Religion's create fear listen to what they are teaching you, it is to create fear to gain control
Without Fear you are in Control of your thoughts and your actions
Let you control your mind not your mind control you !
People only fear what that don't understand
Love & Blessings

Personally, I think the devil is real and God did not create the devil, WE created the devil. By we have done to everything and everyone in this world, starting way back with Adam and eve when they were tempted by the snake. God did create temptation and He had thought we wouldn't fall for temptations but we did and we created the devil in that snake. I know I sound confusing but I hope you get what I am saying.

you...think the devil is a myth but God is real?
I don't believe (per-say) in either, but aren't you choosing what to accept in the Bible and what not to? If the Bible speaks the truth, and God is indeed real, then everything in the bible must be taken literally, because God, in his "infinite wisdom", would know that some people would get the wrong idea otherwise. Therefore, if God from the Bible is real, then so is the Devil. And if God is real, according to the book of Exodus chapter 22, its the responsibility of his worshippers to commit murder of anyone who practices witchcraft, make animal sacrifices, and regulate slavery (im serious, it says that).
My opinion is that your right. The devil isn't real. And neither is God.

Same reason there are bad people and there are good people.
But if the devil doesnt exist, then neither does God. That would mean both heaven and hell are made up?? Whatever you want to believe. I dont really believe in anything....its all confusing..its just a matter of FAITH

well god created the devil, but then when he created the plan for us,, to live on earth and have our own choices, and if we live rightously, we can return to live with him after death, but the devil(satin) didnt like the idea, and he wanted to let people only do wrong, so he didnt get a body. but satin can still tempt us to do the wrong thing, hell is a place that really bad people go but in my religion we dont call it that......i mean think about it. do bad people deserve the right to go to heaven? No so where would they go...
sorry this is probably a weird answer, but if u wanna learn more about what i said...u can go to lds.org

The devil, aka Lucifer, was one of God's most perfect and beautiful angels. He was favored by God. But he became jealous and wanted to over throw God and take over. He caused a revolt among the other angels and as a result, God created Hell and cast Lucifer into it and all the angels that had followed Lucifer became Lucifer's demons.

If there is a Higher Power it is safe to assume a Lower Power exists too. Even if just for balance and what-not. And I'm with you, I don't believe in hell. The God I believe in would never send a child he "loves so much" to hell.
