Ottawa

If Buffalo doesn;t start last season like it did, Ottawa wins the division. In fact, Ottawa controlled Buffalo in head to head games in the regular season, and in the playoffs. In each teams last 60 games, Ottawa had 13 more points than Buffalo.

Last year, Ottawa was the best team in the Northeast and they will be again this season. Buffalo will have a hard time recovering from the loss of Drury and Briere and it remains to be seen if Vanek can handle being the face of the franchise. More consistency is needed from both Afinogenov and Vanek (both playoff no-shows) if this team wants to win a Stanley Cup.

Buffalo will still do well with their depth, but I think losing Briere and Drury - and not replacing either of them with a scorer - will hurt them enough that Ottawa should be the team to beat. The Sens showed their mettle in the playoffs, and they bring back a ton of talent.

The Leafs and Canadiens really just spun their wheels in the offseason. I don't think losing Souray is as big as everyone makes it sound - he had 26 goals but a horrible plus/minus - but Montreal didn't add the much-needed scorer they were hoping for and they'll have trouble putting up goals this year. Boston didn't do much, either, and they'll struggle along near or at the bottom of that division.

the answer is obvious
1.Ottawa
2. Buffalo... i hate to say it
3.Toronto
4. Montreal
5.Boston
we all just know y Ottawa will come out on top so yea....Buffalo losed there leaders and heart of their team but they have enough depth to bounce back.... Toronto has improved goaltending and speed on offense...and Boston and Montreal could be flip flopped either way

The NFC North..and not in basic terms using fact i'm prepared on a team in that branch(the Packers) yet using fact i think that's a much extra aggressive branch. whilst all the preseason magazines and all the predictions are made...the AFC East champion is going to be unanimous..the Patriots. i think of that NFC North is a lot extra aggressive from appropriate to backside.

5th seed: Buffalo
7th seed: Montreal
9th seed: Toronto
14th seed: Boston

Ottawa will be division champs and lose in the semifinals. Buffalo will also lose in the semis with Montreal out in the first round by Ottawa. This shold be a fun year for this division.

Looks like....The Buffalo Sabres....why? Because they are that deep although the Sens will be barking up their tail all season.
