A lib slur for Conservative mostly neo means new.

Neo-Conservative.

Did you notice, when you were typing this question, that it gets asked at least once a day.... did you read the previous answers?

Neo-cons are ex-Democrats that become conservative in the 1970s and 1980s, bringing with them the idea of big govt as a way to achieve their social agenda. They seized control of the Republican party, pushing aside the fiscal conservatives.

It is used derogatorily by liberals to insinuate conservatives are neo nazi's. No one of importance ever coins the term.
