You know what -- I moved on ... paid my way through college, went and served an entire career in the Military (and obtained my Graduate Degrees along the way as well as surviving a short disaster of a marriage to an abusive/violent sociopath) ... Retired from the Military (and already was a Long Term Single Parent) ...
With a Career of Military, Degrees based on Math/Sciences ... being FEMALE and definitely NOT following 'traditional' career paths ....
I can definitely state that even in High School (with my interests in the Sciences/Math) that there were just no others that were interested in what I enjoyed ... and definitely there were not many who were willing to VOLUNTEER to serve our country in its Armed Forces ...
So ... NO, was not worth it to stay in touch -- my life was so much more interesting, varied, I've had the opportunity to serve around the world, I went through the ranks and ... most importantly .. as I encountered each nasty, vile thing in life (including toxic people like my ex who were bound and determined to destroy me or make me miserable or put blocks in my way) ... I SURVIVED, I THRIVED ... and yes, went on and grew to ...
the Vastly Improved and greatly enjoyed life that I NOW have -- which is as an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree with her OWN pensions and her own HOME and I do NOT ever have to spend time with any more TOXIC people ever again! I am FREE to care for the one person forgotten over the years .. me
and that is why I never have looked back and NEVER WANT TO either!

I moved out of state, met my husband and we moved to the East Coast, then back to Midwest, then to the West Coast. So, I have lost touch with everyone I went to school with. However, have two friends from living in CA 15 years ago that I talk to a lot. Don't be discouraged by losing touch with people. People move on after high school and everyone changes sooooo much! Some go on to higher education, some get jobs, some move, some get married and start a family. Life becomes very complicated once you're out of high school. But you meet new people along the way and develop new and longer lasting friendships as time goes by.

Quite lost touch. When I have gotten in contact with people from then, I find that we have followed our lives in different directions and no longer really have much in common or much to talk about.

I have some contact, but not so much since it has been almost 30 years since I graduated. Uh, my ex husband was my high school boyfriend and unfortunately I have three kids with him, so I do know where he is.
