stop trying to talk, do something else. make out, go for a walk. most human communication is non verbal, get creative

Listen, we all have to hear about things we don't care about or want to understand. So do men. They don't want to hear the gossip about our girlfriends, how so and so at work did this or what a great deal we got on these shoes. Try to compromise on doing things together. Use I statements istead of You. It makes them feel less defensive and listen. And always use eye contact.
