Ok I need acting lesson (cheap acting lesson but still good) and I also need a reason for my Parents why I want to act ( and of course its a dream of mine but when I woke up this morning I had a sudden urge to be on a stage) so I told my mom how I felt today (I got accpeted to John K. Powers but they wanted thousands of dollars so my mom turned them down) so I need a really good reason to convince my parents and ood acting lesson in IL around Chicago maybe Elgin?

I thought I answered this all ready. Powers is a scam so you are well out of that. You know the Chicago phone book is full of acting schools. Do some comparative shopping. You want a class that will emphasize your doing scenes and having them evaluated so you can improve. You do not want a class full of games and improv. and exercises. You also need to be in some plays, that is the best way to learn to act. So tryout at school and in the community. Good luck

depending on how old you are you can go to you local community college and take a non credit course...you would have to find out all the details from the college tho.

or you can just go to the library and look up how to act books, because that is one of the first steps is reading about the history of acting, the you have to gain a knowledge the body language, then once you know all that it is how you make your words sound. Acting is like every day life, we are the actors of our own story every day. Once you realize that then you can recall you actions and emotions, and use them to play some one else.
