Can anyone tell me if the car parking indicated in this diagram is legal or not?

It's legally parked.

I think it's legal, but you're not supposed to park that way.
There is a reason why the spaces are angled the other way.

I do say that if a car is coming from the opposite direction as the car in the picture, they should have a right to park their car in that space, regardless of what the car pictured wants to do.

Yes, there is a street like this downtown where I live and as long as the way is clear it is legal here. Other places may have different laws and parking regulations.

It is illegal as first you must make a u turn into the lane where there are no parks, and then pull into the car park.

people that pull such illegal stunts just to beat someone out of a parking space, deserve to be rammed, pulled out of the car and get a beatdown!
its also good anger management therapy!

I donno if it's legal but it would have been better to park on the right side for that car. If not legal it seems a bit Draconian.
