That is a pretty name! Nothing wrong w/that. There really are some weird names out there, but I certainly wouldn't consider yours being one of them. You could have the nick name of "Del"...But on the whole, you have nothing to worry about. Wait 'til you're older & really hear some butes!

your name is no more unique than mine(thats why im not telling it), but as i got older i am glad that i have such a unique name. its perfect for me because im a unique person. the only small downside to it was that(when i was a child)i could never find bicycle plates in my name or other things of that nature because my name is so different. i want to keep my name not known so that i will always stand out.

Apparently, Chandel is of French origin and means "candle": http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Chandelle
The name is very rare: http://www.thinkbabynames.com/search.php?g=0&t=1&s=chandel
Just think of yourself as unique. I think it is much better to have something that makes people go "oh" than a boring name like Jennifer.

It's fine to have a different kinda name. My name is Jo Ann. It's not a common name. My friends' names are Samantha, Ashley and Alex. They all have "normal" names but I love my name. It makes me unique and I love to stride differently than others.
I think your name is beautiful. It makes you unique and different, and that's all there is to life. Being unique is AWESOME and I think that you'll love it like I love my name.
I hope I helped you somewhat.
Best of Wishes! :D

eee I love that name. I think its an off name of chantel. Like my name is Megan which is an off name of Margarett.
Meaning of Chantel:
CHANTAL
Gender: Feminine
Usage: French, English
Pronounced: shawn-TAL (French), shawn-TAL (English), shan-TAL (English) [key]
From a French surname which was derived from a place name meaning "stony place". It has become associated with French chant "song".
