I am wanting to go for door C. Of course, we will have to completely throw out the Geneva Conventions which is essentially setting us up for failure as it takes all advantage away from us because we are the only ones to abide by its guidelines.

I was against the war from before the start. War is never the answer. With that said I realize we have made a mess, and can't just walk away. I suggest that the Bush administration start by admitting their mistakes, and deceptions. Then we can all work together, using the actual advice of people that know . To bring Iraq to a peaceful solution.

Sort of like a boss taking a runaway project, away from one employee and giving it to one that has the experience to get it done.

Now is no time for ego, our young people are dying.....

The consensus of everybody but the neocons is that we should get out.

That's according to:

a) the American People

b) the Iraqi people

c) the US troops in theater

d) the Arab League

e) President Bush's own nonpartisan Iraq Study Group

Those are just the ones saying we should get out. The entire US Intelligence community has said that our presence there is making the terror problem worse instead of better, which some of us see as a reason to leave, but as far as I know, they haven't come out and said as much (yet).

Get out of there.
We entered the war under false pretenses and things have been going horribly since this all started. Why are we still there? To subdue the terrorists? To democratize Iraq? Because neither one is do-able. Terrorists aren't just Iraqi and those that are in Iraq disappear into the crowd like a mist. As for democratization, it is arrogant of us to try to 'make' another country have a government just like ours. It is not plausible to force this on another country. Of course it's not like the gov't will listen to reason.

I say we downscale what we have there, we are basically just targets now, because the me terrorists are cowards, are men die from roadside bombs iran has funded.

we need to go knock on irans door, whoop on them,
and than we would be getting somewhere....
and make sure the iraqi pm stays true to the sunni/shiet/kurds

(the funny thing is, we did the same to the brits in the revoltion,
gurrila warfare/hit and run tatics is something we are not use to these days...

None of the above. A: is not an option, we will say for a while. B: Is only just starting to work but the democrats will never let it work C: is nuts. D: Something different. Let them at each and watch from a safe distance but not to far away. Peace

C- Before you think Im someone who is going to rant about this please read and think about this:
What you all are basing your opinion on is what the News shows you and wether you like Bush or not. I know 3 people who were in the was in Iraq and one who is going to be leaving very soon to go back (leaving his newlywed wife behind for the second time). Im not basing my opinion on the fact that I have family members who are/were involved in this war but more like what they tell me about what its like over there. People and children run to them shaking hands and hugging them and patting them on the back and they said that over here all you see is what bad things are going on. Soldiers are dying to save you- including those of you who absolutly apose the war. They are there so that YOU can still have freedom of speech and be able to say that you "dont like the war". Im not trying to be rude ( even if you are sitting there reading this mad because you dont like the war). And if you still dont after reading this guess what not my problem its yours. OPEN YOUR EYES! THEY ARE THERE SO THAT YOU CAN STILL BE ABLE TO GO ONLINE AND SAY THAT YOU "HATE BUSH AND DONT LIKE THE WAR". Seriously, think about it!

A.

Doing the same thing obviously won't work -- it hasn't for 4 years so far, and it shows no signs of doing so.

And "kicking the enemy's butt" is pretty meaningless -- who is the enemy? Everyone else in the country that doesn't want us there? That's approaching a call for genocide.

c. And the truth is we are winning but Democrats are afraid an American victory will make Bush look good so they are trying to ensure our defeat. What liberals Democrats are doing is treason.
