I was 19 once, in love with a 38 years old guy...
I did not have any problem with it but he did...so it did not last. He was not too old for me but I was too young for him.
Now, I would perfectly understand a 22 years old girl or even younger loving Johnny Depp because he's so hot or a woman in her thirties marring a guy 45 years older, if he's Fred Astaire, still kicking, active and charming in his 80s.
Fred Astaire died about 20 years ago but he looked better in his eighties that some beer drinking, no skill, 30 years old guys who are just fat and lazy.
Basically, it all depend on the older person. Some people age well and even improve with age (Al Pacino, Sean Connery, Anthony Hopkins...) and some don't.
Unfortunately, it's always harder for women to age well because as soon as you have gray hair and wrinkles, you fall out of the feminine beauty criteria.

We love our parents.
But I think I know what you meant. And in answer to that question, I've had several relatives who married someone significantly different in their ages, and it lasted. A 30-year-old great uncle married a 15-year-old girl. That was some time ago, back when this was more common than it is now. He died a couple of years ago, still married to the same woman. And my grandparents were 20 years apart. When they got married, she was 16 and he was 36. They had 7 kids and 15 grandkids. She died first, which surprised everyone because he was so much older, but then he followed her only 6 months later.

The problem is not loving someone older. The problem is if you stay with them and when you get to be 30 or 40, he will be a senior citizen while you will still be young. He will be talking about AARP and retiring and you will want to go dancing.
My ex left me for someone barely older than our son. I'm sure he thought it would last. All she saw was his money. After 4 years she left him. He said he wanted to go to a retirement seminar one night and that did it for her because she was thinking of having a child.
What will you talk about after the lust wears off?

Why yes I love my granparents, and my parents and various other relatives that are twice my age. If you are referring to relationship-wise bf or gf than my answer is the same. Age is only a number.

Of course...twice your age or half your age...age is irrelevant if it's real love.
You should not be penalized just because you were born too early or too late compare to your soul mate.

Since when did you have a choice about whether you've fallen in love with someone? You either are or you aren't. You can't help how you feel.
You CAN help what you do - or don't - choose to do about it, though. Is that what you mean?

that depends on wat age u r...if im 15, then i'd love some one who is 30, but if im 50, then i'd love someone who is 100, and i just dont think that would work out for either person. a good age would be 2 and 4, when it would probably never work out :)
