The sky is not a real object, its not a thing that can break and fall. The sky we see is simply due to the blue end of sunlight's spectrum being scattered by the gases in the atmosphere.
The only way the 'sky' could fall is if the entire world was thrown out of the solar system and we had no sun to provide heat. The atmosphere would freeze - as the temperature plummets the gases that freeze at that temperature would fall out as snow or ice. Eventually, we would have a layered surface of ices with hydrogen and helium (if any were left) being the top layer.

The sky is already all around us. If you're swimming in the ocean, you are in the ocean even though there may be lots of ocean beneath you. We are in the air even though there is lots of air above us.
And I think the sky falls all the time when upper level air masses move downward. It just replaces the part of the sky that's already here. Not a cute answer, and probably not what you want, but there you go.

Bring it on!!
I already have a skyfall-out shelter.
I have all the necessary emergency rations:
~ a blow-up mattress (of course, I could just use the air from the sky that just fell)
~ a wind-up radio (of course we could just shout to each other because the density of the air would make sound travel farther)
~ magazines (my subscription to Sky Diving Monthly)
~ MRE's (military Meals Ready to Eat)
~ Water (although I'll prolly just be able to collect all the condensation from the heavy mist)
~ and hopefully it will be foggy enuff not to be seen while I pee out by the tree (let's not talk about going #2)
