I suppose we could...but opening our mouths reduces the chances of our blinking! And who wants that mess?! It also seems to loosen our face muscles as well.

I also apply mascara with my mouth open. Weird.

Because I don't want to get the mascara on my skin under my eyes! That pisses me off! LOL

Because you are trying to control your breathing. If you close your mouth, you risk moving your face too much. WIth your mouth open, you breath through them and 'freeze' your face long enough to put it on.

You need to stretch out the skin at tight as it can get for a good line

Well.. I actually dont have my mouth open i actually make a pouty face.. which is weird too! I think its because we are concentrating on our eyes, causing us to widen them so we dont poke our selves.
