Well, I have learned that after you are a certain age, screaming, shouting, and walking away are acceptable and won't get you into any legal trouble.
I would probably avoid screaming and shouting because that makes people scared sometimes.
Politely tell them how you feel or better yet write to them. I would suggest writing it if they are far, and if they are near politely tell them and then walk away.
It's best not to let a misunderstanding or a misperception, as someone else put it on here,(because that is what conflicts are usually), escalate into a fight.

This is bad, but when I'm really really frustrated I cry. I'm pissed off, but I tear up.. I don't mean the curl in a ball and be scared of life crying. Just the "I want to kill someone" tear flow.

I scream softly, because I don't want anyone getting angry at me or yelling at me ▬ it just gets worse. I punch my pillow and my bed and the couch . . . I basically punch everything in sight, but then I stop. . . and take a nap pretending nothing happened. When I wake up, I'm still angry but not as angry as earlier.

I go somewhat silent in order to gather my thoughts rather than scream them w/out thinking. And if it's really bad, I'll probably start laughing at the absurdity of it. Along the lines of, 'You've GOT to be kidding me.'

Depends on who it is that has pushed my limits, and what the situation is, also.
Mostly, i try to remain calm, tell them what i think they need to know, and try walking away, but if they keep on with their aggresion or whatever, i do tend to become rather aggressive back at them.

“Sid is someone I turn to in times of need. When things get bad, when times are rough, I say to myself: "What would Sid Vicious have done in this situation?", and then I choose from the lengthy list of possibilities (time-permitting): (1) Pass out, or (2) Break something.”

All of the above, then I start to wash dishes. I know the dishes part sounds weird, but that seems to help me to calm down and regain control of myself.
