Actually, in Mohammedan legend, Christ created the bat while keeping the fast of Ramadan. During this time eating food between sunrise and sunset is forbidden. Because mountains obscured the western sky, Jesus could not tell when the sun set. With God's permission, He fashioned the winged likeness from clay and breathed life into it. The bat flew to a nearby cave, but each evening it emerged at sunset, telling Jesus that it was time to take food. If one is Mohammedan or Christian then i guess the bat must be considered 'good; since it is a creation and tool of the Christ.

God created everything. The bat is not evil in itself. Only it's symbol is seen that way because of people, Halloween, black cats are not evil. These are all myths made up by people and story tellers.
